Moodr Health Named One of Three Winnersof the 2026 Prime Health Innovation Challenge

Win includes an investment and a pilot partnership with a Colorado safety-net organization, following six months of building alongside the Prime Health ecosystem.
Morgantown, WV, October 22, 2026 – Moodr Health, the SMS-first patient engagement and care coordination platform, announced it was selected as one of three winners of the 2026 Prime Health Innovation Challenge in Colorado. The award was presented at the Prime Health Innovation Summit and Challenge Final Pitch Event on October 21 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in Denver, and includes an investment and a pilot partnership with one of the Colorado safety-net organizations Moodr has spent the past six months learning alongside.
Powered by support from the Colorado Health Foundation, the Prime Health Innovation Challenge is an annual program, run since 2014, that advances health equity, access, quality, and cost for underserved communities in Colorado. The 2026 Challenge began with 42 applicants. Fifteen advanced to the semifinal round, and six finalists, Moodr Health among them, pitched live at the Denver summit before an audience of provider, payer, policy, business, and technology leaders.
Moodr Health’s pitch was built on a simple premise: care teams need to reach patients between visits, and text messaging lets them connect without requiring patients to download an app, log in to a portal, or have reliable broadband access. Care teams use the platform to close care gaps, improve screening completion, coordinate referrals, and capture reimbursement, with over 35,000 lives covered. Moodr enables two-way text communication, automated care workflows, validated screening tools, and AI-powered risk stratification.
“The safety-net organizations we met through Prime Health already know their patients well. What they need is a dependable way to reach those patients between visits, and that’s what this pilot is built to deliver,” said Maahi Ameer, Head of Product & Partnerships at Moodr Health. “We’re grateful to Prime Health and the Colorado Health Foundation for the chance to build this alongside the care teams doing that work every day.”
“I was born and raised in Fort Collins, so this win is deeply personal to me coming back to the Rocky Mountains,” said Jaron Richardson, Head of GTM at Moodr Health. “Most startups pitch healthcare from the outside. We got to spend half a year inside Colorado’s safety-net ecosystem before we ever stepped on that stage, and that pilot matters more than the check. We are going nationwide.”
Moodr Health will begin its Colorado pilot with a safety-net partner organization, with details to be announced. The company is expanding its work with health plans, providers, and community organizations across Colorado and nationwide.
