Moodr Health Raises $3 Million in Seed Fundingfrom INNOVA and M&S Ventures
Funding supports hiring, growth, and nationwide expansion of the company’s SMS-first patient engagement platform.
Morgantown, WV, October 20, 2026 – Moodr Health today announced it has raised a $3 million seed round from INNOVA and M&S Ventures, with each firm investing $1.5 million. The funding will support hiring, growth, and nationwide expansion as the company expands its team and accelerates its work across the United States.
A patient can have a care team ready to help and still fall through the cracks. A missed call, an unanswered message, or another portal login can stop the conversation before it starts. Moodr Health’s platform closes that gap with secure, two-way text messaging that reaches patients on SMS-capable phones, with no app to download, no portal to log in to, and no broadband required.
The West Virginia-born company has already demonstrated the model at scale. The published results of its collaboration with Aetna Better Health of West Virginia, a CVS Health company, reported a 23% increase in engagement among previously unreachable populations and a 57% increase in care plan enrollment. Care teams use Moodr to close care gaps, improve screening completion, coordinate referrals, and capture reimbursement, with over 35,000 lives covered.
“We started in rural Appalachia, where the gap between available care and actual engagement is hard to ignore,” said Arya Satish, Founder and CEO of Moodr Health. “This round gives us room to keep building with the teams serving communities too often left behind, and to take what we proved in West Virginia to every patient healthcare has struggled to reach.”
“Every partner we have signed is still with us, one hundred percent retention, and that is what makes this raise so timely,” said Jaron Richardson, Head of GTM at Moodr Health. “This capital lets us grow the team, accelerate our work across the country, and keep reaching the people who have been deemed unreachable.”
Moodr Health’s team includes Johns Hopkins researchers, graduates, and doctors, and the company works alongside leading health plans serving Medicaid and rural populations.
